DUCHESNE, UTAH — April 17, 2026 — Sage Energy Partners / Sage Water Resources (SWR), a leading Native American-owned and operated water infrastructure and management provider in the Uinta Basin, completed a comprehensive workover of its core salt water disposal (SWD) asset – Blue Bench 13-1.
Our SWD well has formally passed its State of Utah mandated Mechanical Integrity Test (MIT), securing our operations for several years. This achievement was a masterclass in collaboration, technical execution, and sheer determination from our downhole crews and strategic partners.
“The March 15th Cyber Attack and April 1st The State mandated MIT and resulting SWD workover was one of the most operationally and financially demanding months in our company’s history. We went from a crisis footing during the Cyber Attack to selecting a talented team of well workover professionals who executed perfectly. SWR structurally hardened our entire asset base for long-term stability.” — Steve Crower, CFO, Secretary and Treasurer
A massive thank you to the exceptional vendors who worked around the clock and brought their elite expertise to the wellbore:
- Hurricane Air & Swabbing – Swabbing and air services to clear the wellbore.
- RBS Rental & Fishing – Downhole fishing tools to extract the compromised packer and clear out the obstruction.
- La Rue Trucking & Nebeker Trucking – Hauling of fluids to stabilize the well.
- Stack’d Oil Tools, LLC – Securing a workover rig, tool operations, installation of the new nickel-coated packer, and interactions with State regulators.
- Extreme Wireline – Logging and tool setting services.
- Lonquist Engineering – Downhole expertise to assist with troubleshooting.
- Other Supporting Services – UDES Cement, Central Mountain Hot Oil, Zubiate Tank Rental, and Runners Inc to secure tubing to the site.
“When things didn’t go as planned downhole, this team didn’t blink. We stayed the course through swaging and milling until the new packer was in place. Now that the MIT has passed and well integrity is restored, we are focused on scaling our regional volumes to support the network that stood by us.” — Cleve Pike, President, CEO and Member of the Ute Tribe
