Cleve Pike
Chief Executive Officer | Ute Tribal Member | Majority Owner
Cleve Pike is a proud member of the Ute Indian Tribe and a seasoned leader in the North American energy sector, with decades of experience in project development and strategic partnerships across both Tribal and non-Tribal lands.
As a founding member of Ute Energy, LLC in 2005, Cleve played a key role in leveraging sovereign Tribal rights to advance upstream, midstream, and infrastructure projects throughout the Uinta Basin. In 2012, Ute Energy’s upstream assets were sold in a private transaction to Crescent Point Energy (NYSE: CPG) for approximately $900 million, while the Tribe retained valuable midstream assets worth an estimated $400 million.
Cleve also actively advises energy producers, Tribal governments, and service providers operating in Indian Country. His leadership is rooted in a deep understanding of Tribal sovereignty, resource development, and economic self-determination.
In addition to his work with the Ute Indian Tribe and other U.S. Tribal Nations, Cleve has extensive experience collaborating with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities across Canada. These efforts have focused on advancing Indigenous participation in energy development while respecting each Nation’s unique cultural, legal, and territorial frameworks.
He is based in Roosevelt, Utah, at the heart of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation.
